Studio Policies
1. For Suzuki students under the age of 13, the at home teacher (parent or other adult) must be present at all lessons and be prepared to devote full concentration to the lesson. The Suzuki Triangle (student, parent, teacher) is essential to the success of the student. Siblings and other observers are welcome as long as the parent, teacher, and student are not distracted.
2. If the teacher determines that the student has come to the end of his/her ability to concentrate, the remaining lesson time may be used for parent instruction or, if the parent prefers, the lesson may be ended with no obligation for the teacher to make up the remaining time.
3. The student is responsible for bringing to every lesson all required materials, including violin/viola and bow, music, and a notebook or binder.
4. If the student is late, the missed time will not be made up.
5. Enrollment for lessons must be made for the full session, unless explicit arrangements are made in writing with the teacher before the session begins. There will be no refunds on partial tuition except in extreme cases.
6. It is your responsibility to make payments on time. If you will have a problem making the payment, inform your teacher before the due date to discuss whether arrangements can be made for late payment.
7. In the case of inclement weather, if the public schools close for the full day, there are no lessons and you will receive a makeup lesson. Otherwise, we will have lessons as usual.
8. If your teacher misses a lesson for any reason, you will get a makeup lesson. If you miss a lesson, a makeup lesson is NOT guaranteed. Time permitting, your teacher may offer a makeup lesson, but is not required to do so.
